The project is tough but fascinating, and I'm thankful for the support from my mentors and tutors. Their insights are important as I explore complex new concepts and methodologies.
Beyond the lab, the program's guest lectures have been a highlight. We had the opportunity to hear from Prof. Joshua Angrist, a Nobel Laureate in Economics, whose insights into real-world data application were particularly inspiring. Another notable session was with Dr. Feng Zhang (The CRISPR guy), an alumnus of the RSI, who discussed cutting-edge genetic engineering techniques. These lectures not only expanded my understanding but also showed me the research in different fields.
The week also included a celebration of the Fourth of July. The day off from mentorship meant we could fully engage in the festivities, which included a Boston Pops concert and a huge fireworks display. This day of celebration was a delightful break from our intense schedule, allowing us to bond over shared experiences and enjoy a bit of cultural immersion.

Reflecting on this past week, the balance between rigorous research and fun activities has made for an memorable summer week.
